🛒 Dough Ingredients
🤎140 g flour
🤎35 g powdered sugar
🤎105 g cold butter, cut into pieces
🤎50 g ground almonds
🤎Seeds from 1/4 vanilla bean
🤎or a few twists from a vanilla mill
🤎1 egg yolk
🤎1 pinch of salt

🛒For Dusting
🤎30 g vanilla sugar
🤎50 g powdered sugar

🥣 Preparation
➡️ Quickly knead everything into a dough, cover, and place in the refrigerator.
➡️ On a work surface, shape the dough into a thick, long log (25 cm) and press it into a rectangular shape (approx. 3×4 cm).
➡️ Cut into slices just under 1 cm thick, then gently reshape each piece (smooth the surface and slightly round off the edges).
➡️ Place the pieces, spaced apart, onto a lightly greased and floured stoneware baking tray (e.g., „James,“ „Zauberstein,“ or „White Lady“) or onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
🔥 Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) using top and bottom heat.
⏰ Bake for approximately 20 minutes, until the surface of the „pillows“ is firm to the touch but not browned.
➡️ Immediately dust everything with powdered sugar.
➡️ Allow to cool completely while still on the stoneware.

➡️ Allow the pastry to cool thoroughly on the stoneware before cutting it into „Linzer“ slices.

Stored in a tin, the whole thing will easily keep for 8 weeks (though it won’t last that long!)

Have fun trying them out and baking them! 😉
